How many players can join my world?
As many as you invite — there is no cap on total players. The number on each plan is "how many can be online at once" before RAM and CPU become the limit. A Crew world (about 10 at once) happily hosts a 50-person whitelist; they just can't all be online at the same moment. Need more at once? Upgrade the RAM or tell us what you're building.
How many worlds can I have?
As many as your storage fits — that's the real limit, and it's upgradeable. A typical world takes roughly 5–10 GB, so 20 GB fits about 2–4 worlds. You can swap worlds anytime without creating a new server.

Is there a free Minecraft server hosting tier?

How much does a Minecraft server cost per month?
Early-access prices start at €1.99/month (2.5 GB, about 5 players) and €4.99/month (4 GB, about 10 players, with plugins, mods and Bedrock cross-play). Yearly billing is 30% cheaper than 12 monthly payments. Joining the waitlist is not a purchase and does not guarantee a price.
How fast does the server start?
Paid plans get priority wake-up: typically around 10–15 seconds, and they skip the shared-capacity queue. Free worlds target about 20 seconds when capacity is available, but may queue when the platform is busy. Either way, your address stays the same whether the world is awake or sleeping.
Can I host modpacks and plugins?
Yes. Pick from popular modpacks like Cobblemon, Better MC, Create and All the Mods 10, or add plugins such as EssentialsX, land claims, voice chat and live web maps. No launcher dance — choose, and it's installed.
Do Java and Bedrock players play together?
Yes. Bedrock cross-play is planned for paid plans from €4.99/month — Java, Bedrock and mobile players can all join the same world. One honest caveat: some heavy modpacks are Java-only, because Bedrock can't render their content.
How does yearly billing work?
Yearly is 30% lower than paying the monthly price for 12 months. Each pricing card shows both the effective monthly rate and the total yearly charge. Joining the waitlist does not place an order or guarantee a price.

Does WorldFolder run on green energy?
Our servers live in EU data centers that run on a renewable-heavy energy mix. And because worlds sleep when nobody is playing, the energy we use is the energy you actually need.
Are my worlds backed up?
Yes. Every world is backed up daily. Free plans keep the latest daily backup; paid plans keep the last 7 days, so you can roll back to yesterday or last week. Backups count against your plan storage.
Do I need a credit card?
No. The free tier requires no card at all. You only add payment when you upgrade, and every upgrade is optional, monthly or yearly, and cancellable anytime.
